Leupold Mark 3HD Scopes – Precision Tactical Rifle Scopes
Leupold introduced a new tactical scope series, the Mark 3HD. These precision scopes round out the Mark HD family and are available in early 2021.
Available Leupold Mark 3HD Models
The Mark 3HD scope family consists of various scopes with different magnifications that all offer a 3x zoom range. The scopes come in the following magnification ranges:
All scopes in the Mark 3HD line come with 30 mm scope tubes allowing for wide ranges of windage and elevation adjustments. The scopes are built with top-of-the-line materials and feature an ultra-lightweight design intended to disperse recoil effectively. The elevation dial is exposed for easy adjustments in the field.
Reticles and Adjustments
The scopes are all MIL-based, with adjustment increments of 0.1 MIL for elevation and windage. All Mark 3HD scopes except for the 1.5-4×20 models feature Leupold’s P5 dial.
The scope family comes with six different reticle options. Three of these reticles feature Leupold’s FireDot illumination. The FireDot illuminated reticles have an aiming dot that is visible in any light condition.
The objective lenses vary in diameter ranging from 20 mm to 50 mm depending on the scope’s magnification range. In combination with Leupol’s Elite Optical System, you get an unrivaled light transmission from dawn to dusk.
The large scope tube allows the light to produce a vivid sight picture in all light conditions. Fully multi-coated lenses reduce glare and reflections in bright daylight, further improving the sight image’s quality and clarity.
The Mark 3HD scopes are worthy of being called a Leupold scope. They are waterproof and fogproof. The lenses are coated and scratch-resistant and made from ultra-clear glass. As you’d expect, these scopes do also come with Leupold’s lifetime warranty.
Best Use for the Mark 3HD Scopes
The Leupold Mark 5HD and 6HD scopes aim mostly at competitive long-range shooting. The Mark 3HD scopes are intended to bridge the gap between home and personal defense and competition uses. You can use them in pretty much any tactical situation and on nearly any kind of rifle.
