History of the Company
Vortex Optics has been open since 2002, after Margie and Dan Hamilton’s outdoor retail store, that opened in 1986, transitioned into Vortex Optics in Wisconsin. Since their original store opened, the owners have worked hard to please and bring satisfaction to all whom they serve. Their company has remained family and veteran owned with an American foundation. All of their products go through a rigorous process in their up-to-date facility, working with engineering, design, and pre – inspection.
Although they are located in Wisconsin, Vortex Optics has dealers throughout not only the United States, but throughout the world in places such as Canada, Europe, The United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa, Australia, as well as other locations. They also are known to attend all of the major trade shows of their type that occur throughout the year for those who desire to see them there. They now have over two hundred people working for their company, improving hunting gear each and every day.
This family-owned company’s knowledge and experience of the outdoor world supports their new found focus of optics, even though they may not be known as an outdoor retail store today. Originally, their small outdoor retail store was known for providing a wide range of outdoor gear for outdoor enthusiasts. From this, they eventually narrowed their focus down, but don’t doubt the knowledge that this company has from their experience.
